Trend Setter

The contrast between traditional and trendy is what gives a room visual interest. It's like hearing your parents talk about their favorite Beyonce song; it's just unexpected. I like to use classic silhouettes and furnishings so that the rooms can last for decades, but mix in contemporary details to keep it current. This can be done through fabric, wallpaper, rugs, you name it. To help you figure out which pillows to swap out this summer, I've rounded up my design trend predictions for the year.

Vibrant Florals

Bright, tropical patterns to make your home feel like your next vacation spot. This has been a very popular trend already and I look forward to watching the textile industry get more creative and fun with it!

The Butterflies, Birds and the Bees

If you're going to have vibrant florals, you've got to have colorful animals to go along with it, right? The new patterns from Osborne & Little are head-turning perfection,

Mixed Patterns

The runway proved this and it’s definitely been shown that whatever appears on the fashion runway will also show up in home dΓ©cor. Mixing patterns has always been a trend with interior design, but dare to go bolder.

Jewel Tones

I mean, green IS the 2017 Pantone color of the year. You will also see deep magenta and marigold to add major energy and bohemian influence.

Texture, Texture, Texture

Raw white has been growing in popularity and now it's all about the unique, perfectly imperfect.

Faux Finishes

You'll see this in furniture, painted walls, fabric and wallpaper! Imagine the possibilities!

Mixed Metals

Goodbye, matchy-matchy. Hello creativity!
