Going Green

Every space has room for a little bit of greenery. It breaths life into a room, adds texture and brings in color. I'm breaking down my favorite greenery options for both faux and real plants. Yes, I think faux can look good too!

Topiaries -

Whether they're real, preserved or fake, topiaries are forever chic! I love nothing more than a myrtle topiary by the kitchen sink or boxwood topiaries flanking the front door.

Ferns -

While I prefer the real things, some ferns can be finicky. My absolute favorite kind is the maidenhair fern. It has such a vibrant green color and looks so plush and full of life when it's healthy. However, they are the most diva plants ever! Don't place them near vents or in high traffic areas, as they don't like to feel any type of breeze.

Fiddle Leaf Figs -

Tall, on trend and the perfect accent to fill any awkward room corner, fiddle leaf figs are a must. Another finicky plant that may be better to have in a faux.

Greenery Branches -

My go-to for a large table, console or statement dining piece. While real branches are gorgeous, this is where I recommend you spend money on good faux branches. They'll last and make a powerful impact. Some of my favorite branches include olive branches, magnolia and large palms.
